Pahalgam Terror Attack: Cricketers React with Condemnation
A terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon has drawn strong condemnation from Indian cricketers, including Shubman Gill, Gautam Gambhir, Parthiv Patel, Aakash Chopra, Yuvraj Singh, and Virender Sehwag. The attack, which reportedly occurred around 3 PM, resulted in the deaths of approximately 28 people, most of whom were tourists. This incident is being described as one of the most devastating attacks in the region since the Pulwama terror strike in 2019.

Parthiv Patel expressed his deep shock and sorrow, stating, “I was shocked to hear what happened in Kashmir today. It deeply disturbed me. The perpetrators will surely be punished. The manner in which this happened is very painful. I am praying for the souls lost in Pahalgam.”

Shubman Gill stated, “The incident in Pahalgam has shaken the heart. My prayers are with the victims and their families. There is no place for such violence in our country.”

Describing the attack as "unimaginable brutality," Aakash Chopra said, “My heart goes out to the victims and their families. I hope the criminals—and those who sympathize with them—are identified, captured, and appropriately punished.”

Gautam Gambhir remarked, “Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible will certainly pay the price. India will respond strongly.”

Yuvraj Singh also conveyed his grief, stating, “The attack on tourists in Pahalgam was deeply disturbing. Praying for the victims and the strength of their families... Let us stand united with humanity.”

Virender Sehwag added, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the terror attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. My heartfelt condolences to those who lost their loved ones. I am praying for those who were injured.”
