Minor Harassed on AP Tourism Bus?; Probe Launched, Drivers Booked
Allegations of sexual harassment of a minor girl on a bus operated by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) have caused a stir. The incident reportedly took place on April 14, while the girl was traveling from Tirupati to Coimbatore on an AP Tourism bus. The girl's father has filed a formal complaint regarding the incident, which came to light only recently.

According to the complaint, the bus staff allegedly allowed unauthorized passengers to board the bus without official permission. Furthermore, the father stated that the CCTV cameras installed on the bus were not functioning at the time of the incident. Expressing deep outrage over the inhuman incident and the negligence of the staff, he criticized the lack of accountability.

Seeking prompt action, the complainant has sent an email to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and senior officials of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department.

In response to the complaint, officials from the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department reacted immediately and initiated an inquiry into the incident. Following a preliminary investigation, the department is reportedly preparing to take disciplinary action against the bus drivers involved.
