Andhra Pradesh Receives Central Grant as Per 15th Finance Commission

The central government has conveyed positive news to the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh by releasing funds recommended by the 15th Finance Commission. Orders have been issued for the disbursement of these funds pertaining to the financial year 2024–25, resulting in ₹1,121.20 crore being credited to the state government’s treasury.
According to the plan, 70 percent of these funds will be allocated to gram panchayats, 20 percent to mandal parishads, and the remaining 10 percent to zilla parishads. Based on population metrics, the Department of Panchayati Raj will deposit the funds directly into the respective bank accounts of the gram panchayats, following approval from the Department of Finance.
