CEOs of Major Companies There Are Telugus: Chief Minister Chandrababu

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu praised the global accomplishments of Indians, particularly Telugus, in the field of technology, stating that many of them have risen to prominent leadership roles as CEOs of top companies in technological hubs like Silicon Valley. He made these remarks today while participating as the chief guest at an event held at VIT-AP University in Amaravati.
During his speech, Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated, “Wherever you go in the world, Indians—especially Telugus—are occupying high positions owing to their talent.” He commended the increasing representation and success of Telugus in the international tech sector.
As part of the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated several development projects at the VIT-AP campus. He also officially launched the 'V-Launch Pad 2025' incubation centre, established to support new startup ideas. Addressing the students, Nara Chandrababu Naidu acknowledged that 95 percent of students at VIT-AP secure employment through campus placements, which he described as commendable. However, he urged students not to be content with just employment, but to strive to create innovative companies that could eventually provide jobs to ten others.
Reflecting on his earlier tenure as Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu recalled the importance he gave to the IT sector. He noted, “Within just 14 months, we constructed the Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad,” emphasizing the foresight he had when he declared that IT would be the future. He added that times have changed, and now emerging technologies like quantum technology and artificial intelligence are becoming crucial. He clarified that he is currently focusing on promoting these new technologies.
He further observed that there was once intense competition even for the role of an attender in government offices, but today, young people are prioritizing employment opportunities in the IT sector. He said this shift reflects the changing preferences and evolving priorities of the youth.
The event was attended by Dr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT University, Dr. S.V. Kottareddy, Vice Chancellor, along with faculty members and students.
