TTD Launches Major Reforms to Enhance Srivari Seva Experience

In an effort to enhance the quality and effectiveness of services provided to devotees of Lord Venkateswara, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced a series of key reforms in its volunteer-based Srivari Seva program. These changes include the elevation of senior volunteers to a new status, the inclusion of general male volunteers in the counting of hundi offerings (Parakamani Seva), and the release schedule for the June quota of services.
Under the guidance of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, senior TTD officials recently visited reputed service organizations such as the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation in Puttaparthi, Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, and Art of Living in Bengaluru. After studying their service delivery models, TTD decided to implement several reforms, with the first phase being launched via a new online application platform on April 30. According to TTD sources, additional changes will be introduced in subsequent phases.
Over the past two years, retired personnel from various government departments, aged between 45 and 70 years, have been serving as senior volunteers. Moving forward, they will be designated as Group Leaders. These individuals will be given the flexibility to choose service durations of 15 days, one month, or three months via the online portal. Group Leaders will play a critical role in managing volunteer activities, monitoring attendance, and evaluating performance with ratings such as excellent, good, or average.
In a significant policy change, TTD has now opened participation in Parakamani Seva—the counting of hundi offerings—to general male volunteers with at least a Class 10 education. Previously, this service was restricted to specific categories. Interested individuals can book the service online.
TTD will release the online quota for various services related to the month of June on April 30, according to the following schedule:
11:00 AM: General Srivari Seva (Tirumala and Tirupati)
12:00 PM: Navaneetha Seva (For women only)
1:00 PM: Parakamani Seva (For men only)
2:00 PM: Group Leader Seva (New category)
TTD expressed hope that these reforms will make Srivari Seva more robust and fulfilling for both volunteers and devotees.
