Gratitude Boat Rally Held for Chief Minister Chandrababu in Kakinada
In Kakinada, fishermen expressed their gratitude in a unique manner to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for fulfilling his promise under the Matsyakara Bharosa scheme. Celebrating the coalition government's decision to enhance the financial assistance provided during the fishing ban period from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000, a boat rally was organized with enthusiasm.

The event was led by Kakinada City MLA Vanamadi Kondababu, who belongs to the fishermen community. A large number of fishermen participated in the rally, which commenced from Yetimogga and proceeded to the Jaganannapuram bridge in Kakinada district. The participants adorned their boats with flags of the Telugu Desam Party and actively took part in the procession.

Speaking at the event, MLA Vanamadi Kondababu stated, “To support fishermen who depend on the sea for their livelihood, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has announced financial assistance of ₹20,000 for each individual during the fishing ban period.” He added that fishermen across the state are expressing their appreciation through “Thank You CM Sir” programmes.

Vanamadi Kondababu further remarked that although many chief ministers have come and gone since India’s independence, it is Nara Chandrababu Naidu alone who has earnestly worked to improve the standard of living of fishermen. He noted that Chandrababu Naidu provided fishing nets, engines, and boats, thereby extending financial support. Kondababu also recalled that it was during the previous Telugu Desam Party administration that insurance facilities were introduced for fishermen.
