On the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami, Chitralayam Studios, under the leadership of producer Venu Donepudi, has announced a pan-India film titled Ramam. The film carries the tagline The Rise of Akira and features a young Tollywood actor in the lead role.

The film draws thematic inspiration from the epic journey of Lord Rama, who is revered for waging a righteous war to establish dharma. The narrative follows a heroic warrior whose untold story is being brought to the Indian silver screen for the first time, modeled on the ideals of Lord Rama's life and values.

Venu Donepudi is introducing Lokamanya, a young director who has previously worked with several leading filmmakers, as the director of Ramam. The film is being developed with a significant budget and is set to meet international production standards. On Sri Rama Navami, the title and motion poster of the film were officially unveiled.

Speaking on the occasion, Venu Donepudi stated, “The name of Sri Rama serves as a guiding mantra for humanity and our beloved nation. Lord Rama not only charted the course for establishing dharma but also showcased unparalleled valor in wielding the Kodanda bow to eradicate adharma, earning him immense praise. Drawing inspiration from this embodiment of virtue, Ramam presents a unique narrative that connects the ideals of Rama Rajya to the present era — a hitherto untold story.”

He further stated that pre-production work is currently underway and that filming will begin shortly. The film is being developed with uncompromising quality, incorporating the highest international technical standards. A rising actor from Tollywood will play the lead role, and the cast and crew will include renowned artists and technicians from across the country.
