Rag Mayur’s Career Soars with Four New Films After Sivarapalli Success

Following the resounding success of Sivarapalli, actor Rag Mayur is on a rapid rise, signing a string of exciting new projects. His latest appearance in Subham—produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and directed by Praveen Kandregula—is already earning praise.

“I want to thank Samantha garu and Praveen garu for the opportunity,” said Rag Mayur. “My character, Maridesh Babu, feels like a continuation of what I explored in Cinema Bandi. I loved the quirkiness and the fun spin the character brought—it was a role I simply couldn’t turn down. I’m thrilled with the response and even happier that the film turned out to be a major success.”

Mayur will next be seen in director Praveen Kandregula’s third feature, Paradha, where he is cast opposite Anupama Parameswaran. Describing his role, he shared, “It’s a full-length character that’s been intricately woven into the narrative. It’s a social drama that promises a fresh and memorable cinematic experience.”

The actor is also currently shooting for a buddy comedy produced by GA2 Pictures. In addition, he is working on Garividi Lakshmi under the banner of People Media Factory. The film is based on the inspirational life of the legendary Burra Katha performer Garividi Lakshmi from North Andhra Pradesh.

“What’s really fulfilling is that each of these characters is vastly different from the others,” said Rag Mayur. “These roles allow me to experiment and expand my versatility. Collaborating with top production houses is deepening my understanding of filmmaking. I feel fortunate to be working with such talented technicians—their insights are helping me evolve as an actor in meaningful ways.”
