The event was attended by Dr Mervin Leo, Cluster Chief Operating Officer and Kottha Krishnaveni, Social Worker as Distinguished Guests. On this occasion, Shachi Maheshwari said that women's empowerment is possible only when they make progress in all fields. International Women's Day will be celebrated to increase women's participation in various fields, including economic, political and social, and to make them aware of their rights. She said that education would boost the self-confidence of girls so that women would excel in all fields and hence everyone should study without fail. She made several instructions to the Junior doctors and medical staff. Nothing can be achieved without setting a goal in life Shachi added. She said the theme of this year's International Women's Day was "Women in Leadership Achieving an Equal Future in Corona Pandemic".
Later, Social worker Dr Krishnaveni spoke. "At a time when family members are moving away from the Corona Patients, only doctors and paramedics from all over the world gave the service to them. Dr Mervin Leo, Cluster Chief Operating Officer, Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital, Hyderabad, wished the doctors and health personnel of the hospital a happy International Women's Day. He went on to say that a woman's power is equal to that of hundreds of successful men. He wished them to excel in all fields. "The services of global hospital nurses were invaluable in the Corona crisis and appreciated them on this occasion" Dr Leo added.
