Telangana Social Welfare Residential Students Bag Prizes at the State Level Painting Competition
K. Garish of social welfare residential school, Mancherial and V. Charan of School of Fine Arts, Malkajgiri, bagged second prize in senior and junior categories respectively. Garish and Charan made extraordinary paintings on energy conservation and received a cash prize of Rs 30,000. The state-level painting competition was organized by the NTPC at Hyderabad on the occasion of children’s day celebrations. The competition witnessed the participation of 33,000 students from 500 schools across Telangana state. It’s a matter of pride that 32 students of the social welfare residential institutions alone figured in the best 100 paintings for the state-level finals.
Garish and Charan duo got selected for national level painting competition to be held in New Delhi in December 2019. D Mahesh Babu, K. Siddhu, A. Vijay and G. Arun Tej of social welfare institutions students consolation prizes and received Rs 7500 each.
