120 post office Aadhaar centres opened by Hyderabad Region

Hyderabad: In order to facilitate public to enroll for new Aadhaar card and updating the existing Aadhaar data, 120 Post Office Aadhaar Centers were opened by Hyderabad Region.

Postmaster General, Hyderabad Region in a Press Release informed that 120 Aadhaar Centers made operational at Post Offices in 28 mofusil districts of Telangana post Covid-19 Lockdown.

The districts covered are Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagtial, Jangaon, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kommaram Bheem, Mahabubabad, Mahbubnagar, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli , Rajanna Siricilla, Rangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Warangal Rural, Warangal Urban and Yadadri Bhongir.

The Aadhaar Centers at Post Offices will provide services like Enrollment for new Aadhaar and updating the existing Aadhaar Data like e-Mail ID, Mobile Number, Address, Date of Birth, Change of Surname, Photograph and updation of Biometrics like Finger impressions and IRIS, updating mandatory biometrics for children on attaining age of 5/15 years.

The Post office Aadhaar Centers will undertake fresh enrolments for issue of new Aadhaar Card based on submission of Proof of Identity and Address at Free of Cost.

Mandatory Biometric update will be done for all children who attain age of 5 years and 15 years at Post Office Aadhaar Centres (capturing of their Photograph, IRIS and all Finger Impressions) at Free of Cost.

Mandatory Biometric Update along with any Demographic Update like change of Mobile number, eMail ID and Address can be done by children on attaining 5/15 years of age in any Post Office Aadhaar Center at Free of Cost.

Aadhaar Card holders can get a Colour Print of their Aadhaar Card on A4 paper by providing their Biometrics and Aadhaar number at Rs.30/- per print.

Aadhaar Card holders can get Demographic Updates like changing Mobile number, e-Mail ID, Address and DoB by submitting required documents at Rs.50/- per update.

Aadhaar Card holders can get Biometric Updates of their IRIS/Finger Print Impressions and Photo by paying Rs.100/ Customers can get Biometric Updates by paying Rs.100/- and update their demographic details like changing Mobile Number, e-Mail ID, Address and Date of Birth in the same transaction of updating Biometrics by submitting required documents to facilitate the change at no extra cost.

To have hassle free updations for common public in colonies, Resident Welfare Associations are being informed and camps will be conducted at their premises.

The Post Master General requested public to make use of 120 Aadhaar Centers at Post offices and fulfill their need for AAdhaar Enrolments and Aadhaar Updations in an easy manner.
