India's Target is Not Pakistan, Only Terrorists: Rajnath Singh

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh clarified that the objective of the Indian military’s “Operation Sindhoora” was not Pakistan, but only terrorist camps. He stated that the Indian armed forces taught a stern lesson through this operation, which was executed with precision and valor overnight, and praised the soldiers for their extraordinary bravery in destroying terrorist bases.
Rajnath Singh made these remarks during the inauguration of several infrastructure projects by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across six states and two Union Territories.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajnath Singh said, “Our soldiers displayed exceptional courage overnight. They carried out highly daring strikes on terrorist camps, demonstrating their capabilities. In this operation, no harm was caused to ordinary civilians, and only terrorist installations were targeted.”
He further explained that the terrorists responsible for the deaths of innocent civilians in Pahalgam were neutralized in this operation. He warned that India would not tolerate any action that threatens the nation's security under any circumstances. Rajnath Singh extended special thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting full freedom to carry out the operation and reiterated the government’s commitment to developing infrastructure across the country.
Rajnath Singh emphasized that India’s aim was not Pakistan, but solely terrorist groups. “I express my gratitude to our soldiers for their courage and bravery. We are handling all matters concerning border states with utmost alertness,” he said. Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, tensions escalated between India and Pakistan, prompting retaliatory action by the Indian Army.
The Government of India revealed that the military had launched precise strikes on a total of nine terrorist hideouts believed to be part of a cross-border terror plot. It also clarified that no strikes were carried out on Pakistani military installations, taking care to avoid further escalation of tensions.
