Chandrababu Naidu Hailed as Visionary by Former SC Judge Justice Gopala Gowda

Former Supreme Court judge Justice Gopala Gowda described the governance of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as “remarkable,” and referred to him as a “visionary leader.” He expressed optimism that under the leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the state would achieve even greater progress in the coming days.

Justice Gopala Gowda made these comments yesterday while speaking to the media during his visit to the Gangamma Jatara festival held in Chikalabayalu, a village in the Annamayya district, which is also his mother’s native place.

During his interaction, Justice Gopala Gowda recalled that he had previously extended personal support to Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He stated that the struggle undertaken by the farmers of Amaravati would be remembered permanently in history. He also commended the current government for delivering justice to the farmers and accelerating the construction works in the capital region.

Addressing concerns over alleged irregularities during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, Justice Gopala Gowda called for a comprehensive investigation into the accusations against certain IAS and IPS officers. He suggested that if any wrongdoing is proven, strict action must be taken against those officials. He emphasized that only when individuals in power who commit such violations are punished according to the law, democracy can truly flourish. Such actions would also serve as a deterrent, preventing others from engaging in misconduct in the future, said Justice Gopala Gowda.
