Ram to Play a Fan Named Sagar in ‘Andhra King Taluka’
Young and energetic star Ram Pothineni has officially unveiled the title of his 22nd film (#RAPO22) as Andhra King Taluka, coinciding with his birthday on Thursday. The production team made the announcement public on the occasion, revealing that this film will be a fan-based biopic.

Directed by P. Mahesh Babu, the film is being produced by the renowned production house Mythri Movie Makers. A title glimpse was released alongside the announcement, which features a striking scene where a man is seen allocating tickets for VIPs at a theatre counter. Ram Pothineni then appears and requests 50 tickets. When asked which area they are for, he replies with the word “Fans,” a line that has sparked interest among viewers.

According to the film’s unit, the story is based on the life of a fan named Sagar. "Fans worship cinema, but this film worships the fans," stated the production house through their official X (formerly Twitter) account. Ram Pothineni will be portraying the character of Sagar, the fan at the heart of the story.

Bhagyashri Borse stars opposite Ram as the female lead. Kannada superstar Upendra will be playing a crucial role as a superstar character named Surya Kumar. The film also features Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna, and VTV Ganesh in supporting roles.

Producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar are backing this high-budget project under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Filming is progressing at a brisk pace. The cinematography is being handled by Siddhartha Nuni, while the music is composed by the duo Vivek–Mervin. National award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad is managing the editing, and Avinash Kolla is working as the production designer.
