CM KCR to hold TRSLP meeting on March 21 on paddy procurement

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is preparing to intensify its fight against the Central government on paddy procurement. In this connection, CM KCR decided to hold a meeting of the TRS Legislature Party (TRSLP) meeting on March 21.

The CMO has directed the TRS MLAs, MLCs, TRS party state executive members, party district presidents, ZP chairmen/chairpersons, DCCB/DCMS chairpersons and district presidents to attend the meeting. It was made clear that everyone should come to this meeting as the fight is intensifying over the issue of paddy procurement.

On the same day after the meeting, CM KCR will leave for Delhi with a group of ministers. He will meet Union Ministers, and if necessary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of paddy procurement. As the Centre is buying 100% of the paddy grown in Punjab, the KCR wants the Centre to buy 100% of the paddy in the same way in Telangana, too.

Meanwhile, KCR said that the modalities of protests in the state with the demand to buy rabi paddy would be decided at the TRSLP meeting.
