Prashant Kishor meets Sonia, Rahul amidst rumours of him joining Cong

New Delhi, April 16: Amidst rumours of joining the Congress, political strategist Prashant Kishor met AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi here on Saturday. According to sources, the Congress wants to utilise his services for the Assembly elections to be held for Gujarat by the end of this year. 
 
Several key Congress leaders in Gujarat quit the party and joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as latter won majority seats in Punjab and formed the state government. In order to stop Congress leaders joining AAP and strengthening the Congress in Gujarat, the Congress is confident that Prashant Kishor will play a major role. 
 
Moreover, toppling the BJP government in Gujarat would be a psychological victory for the Congress being a home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will make a way for forming a strong non-BJP front at national-level with regional parties and Congress taking lead role.
