Missing former home guard from Bhuvanagiri found dead in Telangana's Siddipet district
Hyderabad: Former home guard Ramakrishna Goud, who has been missing since Friday evening from Bhuvanagiri in Telangana, was found dead. His body was found at Lakdaram in Kondapaka mandal of Siddipet district on Sunday. In the preliminary report, it was found that Ramakrishna Goud is believed to have been killed.
However, there are suspicions that it might be an honour killing in the wake of Ramakrishna Goud's love marriage two years ago. On the other hand, as Ramakrishna Goud was doing real estate business, the police were also investigating whether the enemies in the business may have killed him.
Ramakrishna Goud hailed from Lingarajupalle village in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. He had previously served as a home guard in Yadgirgutta. However, his superiors had suspended him in a case related to the treasure trove.
Then in 2020, he married Bhargavi from Gauraipalli. It is learnt that Bhargavi's parents clashed with Ramakrishna Goud, as they two belong to different castes. However, they got married despite opposition from Bhargavi's parents. She reportedly decided to stay with her husband and wrote on a document stating that she did not want a share in her father's property.
Ramakrishna and Bhargavi have been residing in Bhuvanagiri for the past few months. Ramakrishna Goud went out with a man named Latif and did not return home. Bhargavi lodged a complaint with the police and a missing person case was registered.
