Cong MP Komatireddy rejects invitation of TPCC chief Revanth to prep. meet
Hyderabad, April 29: Cold war between TPCC chief Revanth Reddy and Congress MP from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkat Reddy came to fore once again. Talking to reporters, the MP indirectly criticised Revanth for holding preparatory meeting in Nalgonda district. He stated that the Congress is strong in Nalgonda district and asked him to focus on Nizamabad and Adilabad districts where there is no cadre for the party at the grassroots level.
On Friday, the TPCC chief sent a message to Venkat Reddy that he is left Hyderabad to attend preparatory meeting in Nagarjunasagar. But, Bhongir MP rejected his invitation by saying that he is preoccupied with other programmes. However, he informed Revanth that he is sending his followers and party activists to the meeting.
A section of senior Telangana Congress leaders are reportedly not happy with the high command for giving TPCC president post to Revanth, who had joined the Congress a few years ago from the TDP.
