Why KCR neglected Akkampet, Prof. Jayashankar’s native village: Revanth

Hanamkonda, May 21: TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Saturday commenced his 30-day Rythu Rachabanda programme from Akkampet, native village of Telangana ideologue late Professor Kothapally Jayashankar.

Addressing a meeting, Revanth slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for not declaring Akkampet as revenue village despite having 5,000 population with 3,000 votes. “Even, hamlets were declared as revenue villages by the TRS government but not Akkampet. It indicates that KCR doesn’t like Jayashankar,” he stated and slammed the CM for merging Akkampet in Hanamkonda district which is far off from village instead of Warangal district.

The TPCC chief came down heavily on the CM for not announcing crop insurance to damaged produce due to natural calamities, spurious fertilizers and pesticides. He flayed KCR for paying Rs 5 lakh compensation to kin of farmers, who committed suicide. Revanth faulted the CM for not fulfilling election promise of allocating double bedroom houses for beneficiaries and providing a job for every family.
