YSRCP MLA Anam’s daughter Kaivalya meets Nara Lokesh, seeks Atmakur by-poll ticket
Ongole, May 28: Former minister and YSRCP MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy’s daughter Kaivalya Reddy met TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh at Mahanadu here on Saturday. She reportedly expressed interest to contest from Atmakur Assembly constituency in Nellore district. By-election to Atmakur was necessitated with the sudden demise of MLA and Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy.
Kaivalya is daughter-in-law of former TDP MLA from Badvel Vijayamma. According to reports, she arranged meeting between Kaivalya and Lokesh. Continuing its tradition, the TDP decided not to field its candidate in Atmakur by-poll if any one of the family members of Goutham Reddy are in fray.
Being Atmakur is native place of Kaivalya, the TDP might reconsider its decision. As per the schedule released by the Election Commission of India, by-election to Atmakur will be held on June 23. It is not clear as to whether she has blessings of his father. More details are still awaited.
