2 lakh SSC students failed: Chandrababu makes YSRCP govt responsible
Amaravati, June 7: Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said that 2 lakh students failed in SSC exams due to faulty policies of the YSRCP government. The Board of Secondary Education declared SSC exam results on Monday. This time, pass percentage was only 67 percent much less than previous years.
In a social media post, Chandrababu said that SSC pass percentage was 90 to 95 during the TDP rule. He mentioned that merger of schools, assigning tasks to teachers other than teaching and not filling vacant teacher posts led to drop in pass percentage. He flayed Nadu-Nedu programme taken up by the Jagan government to improve infrastructure in government schools.
“It is the failure of the state government and not students,” he said. The TDP chief made an appeal to failed SSC students not to commit suicide because of flaws in education system. The YSRCP refuted allegations levelled by Naidu.
