Kishan Reddy faults KTR tweet on violence against Agnipath scheme
Delhi, June 17: Responding to a tweet posted by Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) on violence erupted against new Agnipath scheme, Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Friday afternoon said here that KTR and his Cabinet colleagues have responsibility to protect public properties.
Speaking to the media, he faulted KTR for tweeting when agitators going on rampage at Secunderabad railway station. Kishan said that damaging public property is not the solution if protesters did not like new scheme. “There are several platforms for them to express their resentment,” he mentioned.
The Union Minister clarified that new scheme will not hamper Army recruitment process. He suspected that violence at railway station in Secunderabad was a pre-planned one. He came down heavily on the Telangana government for its failure to maintain law and order in the state. When asked about his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he said that issue was not related to the Agnipath scheme.
