KTR objects to comments made by union minister, BJP leaders over Agnipath Scheme
Hyderabad, June 20: Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao, popularly called KTR, faulted the remarks made by a union minister and BJP leader over Agnipath Scheme.
In a tweet on Monday, he criticised Union Minister Kishan Reddy for saying that those recruited through the Agnipath Scheme will be employed as drivers, electricians, barbers and washermen in the Armed forces after completing their four-year tenure as Agniveers.
KTR also slammed BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya for offering security guard jobs to Agniveers at the party office. He flayed the BJP leaders for saying that youth did not understand Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on Agnipath Scheme.
The minister alleged that announcement of the Agnipath Scheme was part of a plan to divert the attention of Indian people from allegations on Narendra Modi and Adani corruption nexus in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the Congress gave ‘Bharat Bandh’ call on Monday opposing news scheme.
