Boycotting NITI Aayog meet to express my resent against Centre: KCR

Hyderabad, August 6: “I am boycotting NITI Aayog meeting to be held on Sunday protesting against the Central government’s attitude,” said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Saturday while addressing the media at Pragathi Bhavan here.

KCR stated that he expressed his resentment by sending an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He mentioned that India was able to establish great institutions and organisations because of decisions taken by the Planning Commission of India with its five-year plans.

The CM recalled an incident of former AP chief minister N.T. Rama Rao allocating Rs 8 lakh to his Assembly constituency. “But PPAC had put a condition that no constituency can get more than Rs 5 lakh. It is a good example of planning,” he mentioned.

KCR criticised NITI Aayog for its failure in the last eight years as Modi government at Centre failed to fulfil its recommendations. Giving an example, the CM said that investment for farming doubled in the BJP-led NDA government but it promised to double income of farmers.
