Telangana achieved tremendous progress in last 8 years: KTR
Hyderabad, August 19: Newly formed state of Telangana has achieved tremendous progress in the last eight years, said Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday while addressing a diplomatic outreach programme held at T-Hub in Raidurgam Knowledge City here.
KTR stated that Telangana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) rose from Rs 5.6 lakh crores in 2014 to Rs 11.55 lakh crores by 2022. “I have informed the same to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a meeting,” he mentioned.
The minister said that agriculture, Information Technology (IT) and industrial sectors are witnessing rapid development in the state. “Telangana government is spending funds on irrigation and welfare schemes in a big way,” he said and added that oil palm cultivation is going on in 20 lakh acres in Telangana.
KTR opined that India can become world number one if it focuses on ‘3 Is’ Innovation, Infrastructure and Inclusive growth. He further said that more than 1,500 multinational companies are operating from Hyderabad.
