Minister Gudivada responds to TDP’s three-capital referendum demand
Amaravati, September 15: Responding to TDP’s demand of dissolving Legislative Assembly and seeking fresh mandate from people with three capitals as referendum, Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath said that the people voted YSRCP to power to serve them for five years. “YSRCP will oblige to people’s verdict but not to the demand of TDP,” he mentioned.
However, Amarnath said welfare and decentralised development will become referendum in next Assembly elections. “Any political party will contest elections to win,” he stated and mocked TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for waiting eagerly to get defeated in ensuing polls.
The minister adviced Chandrababu to focus on winning as MLA from Kuppam constituency next time. “Kuppam will be first segment in the state to be won by the YSRCP,” he said. He raised doubt as to whether Chandrababu is not following suggestions of TDP MLAs or vice-versa. Amarnath flayed Chandrababu for not attending the Assembly but sending the TDP MLAs to the House.
