Chandrababu objects to renaming NTR health varsity after YSR
Amaravati, September 21: TDP chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu raised strong objection over YSRCP government’s move to rename Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) after Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, former Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, he demanded the AP government to continue the name of TDP founder and former AP CM Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) to health varsity. “How Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy can rename NTR varsity after YSR when it was constructed by former,” he asked.
Further, the TDP supremo mentioned that YSR was no way related to health varsity which was set up in 1986. “YSRCP government will not get fame if names of existing institutions are changed,” he adviced and suggested the CM to name buildings after YSR constructed by him. He reiterated that the TDP is against the changing the name of health varsity.
