Modi govt wants to benefit corporates: Speaker Pocharam

Kamareddy, September 21: Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Wednesday participated in several developmental works in Birkur mandal. Talking to reporters, Pocharam said that he will contest as MLA in next Assembly elections. 
 
“Review meetings are important to rectify mistakes,” he stated and mentioned that people will defeat people’s representatives in elections if they fail to do good for them. He informed the TRS cadre to counter Opposition criticism effectively.
 
The Speaker criticised the BJP-led NDA government for preventing the Telangana government from procuring paddy. “Modi government at Centre wants to benefit the corporates by refusing to buy food grains from Telangana farmers,” he faulted and said that farmers become labourers in their own agricultural fields if corporates are allowed into farming sector.  
 
Further, Srinivas Reddy said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will never allow to fix power meters to agricultural pump sets till he is alive.
