Fulfil promise of appointing workers as artisans in KTPS, Revanth to KCR
Hyderabad, September 22: Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Thursday to fulfil assurance of appointing workers as artisans in Palvancha-based Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS).
Revanth reminded KCR that Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of TS-Genco and TS-Transco D. Prabhakar Rao had promised in writing that workers involved in construction of sixth stage KTPS from 2008 to 2013 and in seventh stage will be absorbed into KTPS as artisans.
The TPCC chief said that it is unfortunate that the TRS government did not honour the promise even after several years. “I also brought the issue to the notice of the Telangana State Human Rights Commission,” he mentioned in the letter and slammed the Telangana government for cheating workers with an assurance. He demanded Prabhakar Rao to provide job security to workers by initiating process of appointing them as artisans immediately.
