Poonam Kaur clarifies why Rahul Gandhi held her hand during 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'
Hyderabad: Actress Poonam Kaur clarified that Rahul Gandhi held her hand when she was about to slip during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. She flayed the BJP leaders for creating controversy and said that it is not appropriate for them to indulge in cheap gimmicks when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was talking about women empowerment. In fact, Poonam Kaur met Rahul Gandhi in Mahbubnagar to discuss the issue of handloom workers.
He assured her that if they come to power, they will do away with GST on handlooms. Poonam Kaur mentioned this on her Twitter handle. She tweeted that Rahul Gandhi's respect for women touched her heart. She also thanked Rahul Gandhi on behalf of the handloom workers.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra is continuing in Telangana. Malkajigiri MP and TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy, Addanki Dayakar and others participated in ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Bharat Jodo Yatra was launched on September 7 and is going on in different states. From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, covering 12 states, the padayatra will cover a distance of 3,570 kilometers in 150 days.
