Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court delivered a shock to the YSRCP government. It is known that the AP government recently released the DSC notification. However, it also allowed B.Ed candidates to apply for the SGT (Secondary Grade Teacher) posts. A petition was filed in the High Court opposing this decision. Suresh, hailing from Prakasam district, along with others, lodged the petition, claiming that the government had violated the guidelines set by the Supreme Court.
Examining the petition, the High Court has imposed a stay on the rule allowing B.Ed candidates for SGT posts. During the proceedings, the Advocate General told the court that they would not permit B.Ed candidates for the SGT posts. The High Court announced the stay just yesterday.
Advocate General said they would present their opinion tomorrow after considering the government's decision and asked the court to postpone the judgment by one day (to today). Consequently, the court postponed the hearing to today. During today's hearing, the Advocate General presented the government's stance. Following this, the High Court imposed a stay on the sole rule allowing B.Ed candidates for SGT posts.
