Amaravati: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh intensified his criticisms ahead of the elections, stating, "A stands for appulu, and Aa stands for avara karchulu... Jagan Mohan Reddy has set the future of Andhra ablaze," accusing him of jeopardizing the future of five and a half crore Andhras by borrowing recklessly.
"Have all these loans even resulted in the construction of roads in the state? Is there a single good road? Has there been a single job created? A single industry established? Does Andhra Pradesh even have a capital? Has a single irrigation project been completed?" Lokesh challenged, criticizing the government for not even being able to afford salaries and pensions.
Furthermore, Lokesh highlighted the government's dire financial situation, stating that it gasps for breath with a new loan every Tuesday. Out of 52 Tuesdays in 2023, the Andhra Pradesh government took loans from the RBI on 49 occasions, he claimed.
