YS Jagan's Sensational Tweet on EVMs

In the midst of ongoing criticisms against Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and YSR Congress Party chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has made a sensational tweet. Until now, Jagan has never directly targeted or expressed doubts about EVMs. However, for the first time, he has made a significant comment about them on Twitter. Amid declining trust in EVMs, he suggested that using paper ballots would be a better option.

"Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done. Similarly, democracy must not only be strong but must also appear to be beyond doubt. In almost every developed democratic country around the world, elections are conducted using paper ballots instead of EVMs. We should also move in the same direction to uphold the true spirit of our democracy," Jagan tweeted. 

This tweet has sparked discussions, especially following recent comments by technology giant Elon Musk, who stated that EVMs could be hacked.
