BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha criticized the Telangana government, stating that the current governance mirrors the emergency period during Indira Gandhi's regime. She condemned the police for detaining BRS leaders Harish Rao and Padi Kaushik Reddy at the Gachibowli Police Station. Kavitha visited the station to meet them and later warned that the day is not far when people will rise against the government.

Kavitha revealed that Padi Kaushik Reddy had called the ACP, sought an appointment, and visited the Banjara Hills Police Station. Since the ACP was unavailable, Reddy requested the CI to accept his complaint. Allegedly, a case was filed against Reddy simply because he questioned the CI. Kavitha expressed outrage, stating that Harish Rao and Jagadish Reddy were arrested for merely visiting Kaushik Reddy’s residence.

She further accused the government of lacking the courage to accept complaints. Kavitha demanded the withdrawal of cases filed against Padi Kaushik Reddy and the release of those arrested. She called for the immediate revocation of what she described as unjust cases against BRS leaders.
