Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) expressed confidence in his party's prospects, citing a survey representative's findings. Speaking at the preview of the short film "Nammi Nanaboste" produced under the leadership of former MLA Rasamayi Balakishan, KTR stated that the Congress government had lost public support within a year of taking office.

KTR revealed that a representative involved in election surveys recently visited him and provided insights into the current political climate in constituencies where BRS MLAs had defected to the Congress. The representative reportedly highlighted that the Congress government in Telangana is facing unusual public discontent within a year, a trend typically seen after three or four years of governance.

According to KTR, the representative involved in election surveys suggested that if elections were held today, the BRS under KCR's leadership would regain power due to its consistent grassroots efforts. KTR emphasized the contrast between the lively Telangana Bhavan, the BRS headquarters, and the seemingly quiet Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress headquarters.

Addressing the recent Lagacharla incident, KTR stated that the BRS legal cell is actively fighting for justice for affected tribal farmers. He assured that efforts are underway to secure the release of farmers jailed in connection with the incident. Complaints have already been filed with the National Human Rights Commission and the SC/ST Commission, he said.

KTR also mentioned that former sarpanches and ASHA workers have approached the party, seeking intervention on pending payments and requesting their issues be raised in the state assembly.

On the Short Film "Nammi Nanaboste"
KTR lauded the short film for its emotional depth, stating it resonates with the public’s frustration toward the Congress government. He reiterated the party’s commitment to fighting for the people and asserted that while BRS may have lost power, its fighting spirit remains intact.
