Journalist associations have strongly condemned the alleged assault on media representatives by actor Mohan Babu. Protests were held outside his residence in Jalpalli, with journalists demanding an unconditional apology from the actor. Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) State President Virahat Ali criticized Mohan Babu, accusing him of behaving like a "rowdy sheeter." Ali emphasized the importance of respecting press freedom and warned against actions that threaten it.

TUWJ General Secretary Maruti Sagar demanded that an attempted murder case be filed against Mohan Babu, urging immediate action. He warned of intensified protests if authorities fail to act. The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Video Journalists Association also condemned Mohan Babu's actions.

Background of the Incident
The controversy unfolded on Tuesday night when Manchu Manoj, accompanied by his wife Bhuma Mounika, arrived at his residence in Jalpalli. Security personnel reportedly prevented them from entering, locking the gates despite Manoj's plea that his seven-month-old child was inside. The situation escalated as Manoj, with the help of private bouncers, forced his way in.

Shortly after, Manoj was seen emerging with a torn shirt and visible injuries. During this time, Mohan Babu allegedly lashed out at media representatives who had gathered to cover the incident. He is accused of snatching a journalist's logo and attacking them. Additionally, reports claim that bouncers seized journalists' phones, with videos of the incident now circulating widely on social media.
