Renowned actress Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan have received legal notices from the Madras High Court, alongside streaming platform Netflix. The notices pertain to the alleged unauthorized use of footage from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. Actor Dhanush filed the complaint, claiming that his permission was not sought for the usage of a three-second clip from the film.

The Madras High Court, upon reviewing Dhanush's petition, has demanded a response from Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix by January 8. Dhanush has sought ₹10 crores in damages for the alleged violation. Legal notices were subsequently sent to all involved parties.

Reacting to the claims, Nayanthara reportedly criticized Dhanush, alleging that his actions were driven by personal animosity towards her. Despite her remarks, Dhanush proceeded to approach the court, seeking legal resolution.
