The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a beneficial decision for APSRTC employees by sanctioning a night-out allowance. According to a recently issued government order (GO), APSRTC employees will now receive a night-out allowance of ₹150 per day in addition to their regular salaries.

Previously, during the tenure of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, APSRTC was merged with the state government, leading to the discontinuation of the night-out allowance. Following the change in administration, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to reinstate the allowance for APSRTC employees.

In response to the GO, APSRTC employee unions expressed gratitude to the state government. The National Mazdoor Union of India (NMUI) also urged the government to release pending arrears related to the night-out allowance.
