AP Govt to Ensure Transparent Land Survey: Anagani Satyaprasad

Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad emphasized that the state government would conduct a transparent land survey to prevent illegal activities. He made these remarks during a regional revenue conference held on Tuesday at the Visakhapatnam Collectorate, attended by collectors, joint collectors, MLAs, and MLCs from the Uttarandhra districts. The minister reviewed 12 key administrative issues related to the department.

Later, along with Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao, and MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi, he addressed a press conference.

The minister criticized the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, alleging that although a land resurvey was initiated under central government directives, it was not conducted according to established guidelines. He claimed that certain public representatives and leaders from that period manipulated the survey for personal gain. He stated that over 98,000 complaints related to land irregularities involving four lakh acres had been received by the government.

Anagani revealed that revenue conferences were held in 6,680 villages so far, uncovering several irregularities related to freehold lands. He assured that transparent investigations would be conducted, and corrective measures would be taken. He also noted that complaints were received regarding officials involved in land encroachments and record tampering in Visakhapatnam. Strict action would be taken against those found responsible after a thorough inquiry.

The minister announced plans to provide digital records for lands being cleared from encumbrances through a streamlined process. Under the "Mee Bhoomi – Mee Hakku" initiative, revenue records are being fully digitized to eliminate disputes.

Special Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department RP Sisodia and CCLA Jayalakshmi also participated in the conference.
