BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has written a letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, demanding a discussion on the Formula E Race issue in the state legislative assembly. He asserted that the matter should be debated transparently if there is genuine concern. KTR posted his letter on social media platform X, emphasizing that a discussion would reveal the truth, countering baseless allegations made by the Congress government and its leaders against him and the previous BRS administration.

KTR pointed out that recent media reports indicated lengthy discussions on the Formula E Race issue during a recent cabinet meeting, with leaks suggesting possible legal action and governor approval for certain proceedings. He argued that instead of conducting closed-door discussions, the matter should be debated in the legislative assembly for the awareness of Telangana's four crore people.

He explained that the previous government organized the Formula E Race with the intention of promoting Telangana and Hyderabad globally. The event in 2023 was highly successful, garnering widespread recognition. Citing a report by Nielsen, KTR highlighted that the race contributed approximately ₹700 crore to the state economy.

KTR criticized the current Congress government for unilaterally canceling this year’s race and conducting a smear campaign against BRS. He expressed concern that false narratives were being spread through the media to create public mistrust. He reiterated that the entire event was managed transparently and urged that the state’s citizens have a right to know the truth.

He concluded by stating that BRS MLAs had formally submitted a letter to the Assembly Speaker, requesting a debate on the matter, reaffirming his party’s readiness to clarify all aspects of the controversy on the legislative floor.
