BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has filed a quash petition in the Telangana High Court seeking dismissal of the ACB case registered against him concerning the Formula E car racing project. KTR alleged that the case was filed with malicious intent.

In his petition, KTR stated that the FIR accused him of benefiting a private firm but did not include the firm in the list of accused. He argued that the agreement signed on October 30, 2023, did not violate the election code, as funds were transferred before the agreement, which was only a continuation of previous arrangements.

KTR also pointed out that the FIR did not allege any personal financial gain on his part. He further claimed that a state minister had openly spoken about arresting opposition leaders, implying a politically motivated agenda. The petition accused authorities of targeting opposition leaders and arresting them by filing arbitrary cases.
