Allu Arjun Under Fire from Akbaruddin Owaisi Over Pushpa 2 Premiere Incident
Hyderabad: Today in the Telangana Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi, leader of the AIMIM legislative party, launched an indirect but sharp criticism of Tollywood actor Allu Arjun. Referring to an alleged incident during the premiere show of Pushpa 2, Owaisi claimed that the actor’s response to a stampede outside the theatre was inappropriate.
According to Owaisi, “As per the information I received, when the actor was at the theatre watching the movie, officials informed him about a stampede outside. They told him that a woman had lost her life and a child was injured. The actor allegedly responded cheerfully, saying, ‘This means our movie is a hit.’”
Owaisi further stated, “A woman lost her life, and a child was seriously injured. Yet, the actor continued watching the movie inside the theatre. Later, as he exited, he waved at the crowd from atop his vehicle. Is this behavior humane?”
Drawing a comparison, Owaisi highlighted his own experiences with public gatherings, emphasizing the importance of crowd safety. “When I attend public meetings, thousands of people gather. However, I ensure that no stampede occurs. My security team is instructed to handle the crowd responsibly without pushing anyone,” he said.
