BJP MP Raghunandan Rao has commented on the stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre, alleging that the state government is deliberately exaggerating the matter. He claimed that the case filed against actor Allu Arjun is minor in nature.

Raghunandan Rao criticized the government for ignoring the security lapses involved in the incident and instead targeting the actor as the sole cause. “The government is attempting to cover up one mistake by committing several others,” he alleged.

The MP questioned the actions of the Commissioner of Police, stating, “When Bunny [Allu Arjun] is unable to hold a press meet, how can the Commissioner release videos?” He further stated that it was inappropriate for the government to act vindictively and sensationalize the case.

Raghunandan Rao also pointed out that the judiciary had already granted 30 days’ bail in the matter and emphasized that the police should not use the incident as a pretext to settle scores against anyone.
