Andhra Pradesh FiberNet Chairman GV Reddy announced the dismissal of 410 individuals who were appointed during the tenure of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government. He stated that many of these individuals lacked the necessary qualifications for their positions. Addressing the media, GV Reddy emphasized that the dismissals were not an act of retaliation and urged people to refrain from harboring misconceptions.

GV Reddy alleged that these appointments were made under the instructions of YSRCP leaders. He clarified that the removal of these individuals is part of efforts to restructure and clean up the organization. Furthermore, he accused certain former ministers, MLAs, and other leaders of employing these FiberNet staff members as domestic helpers and personal vehicle drivers, while their salaries were being paid by FiberNet.

To safeguard the integrity of the organization, GV Reddy highlighted the necessity of implementing corrective measures. Notices have been issued to all 410 dismissed employees, and he assured that staff would be appointed based on actual organizational needs going forward.

Additionally, GV Reddy revealed that notices have been sent to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV), demanding the repayment of ₹1.5 crore, which was allegedly paid to him illegally through FiberNet.
