The Machilipatnam 9th Additional District Judge's Court has reserved its verdict on the anticipatory bail petition filed by Jayasudha, wife of former minister Perni Nani, in connection with a case involving the disappearance of ration rice. Senior advocate Varadarajulu represented Jayasudha during the hearings, while Special Public Prosecutor Venkateshwar Rao argued on behalf of the government. After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge announced that the verdict would be pronounced on December 30.

The case stems from allegations that 3,708 bags of ration rice, stored in a warehouse in Machilipatnam under Jayasudha's name, had gone missing. Following a complaint by officials from the Civil Supplies Department, the police registered cases against Jayasudha and the warehouse manager, Manas Teja. Subsequently, Jayasudha filed a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the court.
