Hyderabad’s Chikkadpally police issued show-cause notices to the management of Sandhya Theater at RTC Cross Roads following the tragic death of a woman named Revathi during a stampede at the premiere of Pushpa 2. The police have named members of the theater management as accused in the case related to the incident.

Responding to the police notices, the management of Sandhya Theater sent a letter through their legal representatives, asserting that the theater has all required permits and has been operating for 45 years without such incidents. They emphasized that 80 staff members were on duty during the Pushpa 2 premiere on December 4.

The letter further clarified that the theater was engaged by Mythri Movie Makers on December 4 and 5 for the screenings. The management stated that during previous film releases, actors from various films had also visited the theater, and such incidents had never occurred.

Sandhya Theater also highlighted that it provides dedicated parking facilities for cars and bikes for visitors. The six-page response was submitted to the Chikkadpally police to address the concerns raised.
