OU JAC Leaders Seek Police Protection, Allege Death Threats from Allu Arjun Fans
Hyderabad: Leaders of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU JAC) have approached the police alleging death threats from fans of actor Allu Arjun. The complaint comes in the wake of the recent controversy surrounding the stampede incident at Sandhya Theater and the subsequent protest at Allu Arjun’s residence in Hyderabad.
The OU JAC leaders filed a complaint at the Osmania University Police Station, claiming they had received threatening phone calls demanding they issue an immediate apology to the actor. "We have been threatened with death by individuals identifying themselves as Allu Arjun fans," said the leaders in their statement to the police.
The leaders further alleged that they had received hundreds of such threatening calls. They also stated that their personal phone numbers had been made viral on social media, intensifying the harassment. They urged the police to take strict action against those responsible for the threats and the dissemination of their contact information.
