Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav criticized the previous government, stating that contractors are the primary contributors to the state's revenue, but their system was dismantled by the former administration. “While the previous government exploited contractors, our administration is making them stakeholders in development,” he said.

He further alleged that the prior administration had canceled 93 central government schemes, whereas the current coalition government has restored 74 of them since coming to power. According to Payyavula, the government is paying all companies' bills based on priority and plans to grant corporations greater autonomy soon.

Payyavula accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government of mismanaging revenue generated by the Excise Department. Highlighting the state's financial woes, he claimed that Andhra Pradesh currently bears a debt burden of ₹10 lakh crore, necessitating cautious and calculated governance at every moment.
