TSRTC Managing Director V.C. Sajjanar has issued a strong appeal to social media influencers, urging them not to promote betting apps that jeopardize lives for monetary gains. In a video shared on his official social media account, Sajjanar implored influencers to refrain from endorsing these platforms, which he claimed lead many innocent individuals into the trap of online betting.

“Social media influencers! Do not let greed for money drive you to promote betting apps that claim lives and promise overnight riches. Such videos you post are luring unsuspecting people into the online betting menace, causing them to become addicts and shatter their golden futures,” Sajjanar stated on the platform.

He questioned the morality of prioritizing personal profit over public welfare, emphasizing the irreversible harm caused by promoting such activities. “How ethical is it to ignore societal welfare for your selfish gains?” he asked, calling out influencers’ disregard for social responsibility.

Sajjanar also warned the youth against falling prey to online betting schemes. He urged them to recognize that the allure of easy money without hard work leads to ruin. “This mentality of earning quick money without effort is disastrous,” he stated.

In his post, Sajjanar further appealed to the public to stay away from what he described as anti-social elements exploiting online platforms for personal gain. “Do not believe the misleading messages of selfish influencers. Avoid falling for the online betting trap that quietly fosters social instability. Stay away from such societal adversaries,” he wrote.
