You Will See the 1995 Chief Minister Again: CM Chandrababu Naidu
In an interaction with the media at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) central office in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu made several significant remarks about his administration and future plans. He stated that his governance style, as seen in 1995, will be reflected once again in his leadership.
“Everyone knows how I governed as Chief Minister in 1995. You will see the same Chief Minister again. Strict action will be taken against those who post obscene or inappropriate content on social media,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
He acknowledged that while the Skill Development Agreement was advantageous for the state, the government will proceed strictly according to the law. "We will review the records and take appropriate action," he assured.
Chandrababu Naidu reflected on past elections, asserting, “In 2004, no one defeated me. I developed Hyderabad but failed to communicate that progress effectively to the public. This time, we will ensure that our development efforts reach the people and carry them along with us. Within six months, we have attracted investments worth thousands of crores, which were absent during the previous government.”
He also criticized the previous administration, led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, for failing to fulfill key promises, such as the repeal of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and implementing prohibition effectively. “Jagan promised many things, including Amma Vodi, but failed to deliver. In contrast, we are committed to fulfilling the six promises we have made,” he stated.
Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the confidence restored in the public under the coalition government. He alleged, “The state suffered immensely during Jagan Reddy's five-year rule, which was marked by authoritarian policies. His actions caused setbacks in projects like Amaravati, Polavaram, and other irrigation initiatives.”
Highlighting the coalition government’s efforts, Chandrababu Naidu stated, “We have visited Delhi more than four times to secure central funds and resolve technical issues. We are addressing offensive and disruptive content on social media and untangling the challenges faced by Andhra Pradesh to move forward step by step.”
He criticized the previous government for its failures, saying, “Jagan Reddy’s administration turned crime and mismanagement into its hallmark. Since our government took charge, we have been working to restore law and order while reducing crime rates.”
Discussing the Polavaram project, he added, “A technical committee has provided a feasibility report for the Polavaram project. We are securing funds from the central government and will restart work soon, ensuring its completion within the stipulated time.”
Chandrababu Naidu concluded by reiterating his commitment to justice and the rule of law: “I never indulge in political vendettas, but those who break the law will not be spared. Everyone, irrespective of their status, must stand before the law.”
